ROBOT REVOLUTION

“I never thought I would be able to build a robot from scratch and then control it with a controller an hour later. Nick was brilliant, he taught us about engineering and STEM. I loved the Roman Invasion activity too.”

ENTERPRISE EXPERIENCE

“This was the best school day ever. I thought that it would be boring but it was amazing. The people that came in were really funny and friendly. We did loads of things including running our own businesses and haggling for stuff.”

SIXTH FORM – POST 16 PLAN

“The activities were fun, I enjoyed working in a team and I found time management particularly helpful. Disappointed I didn’t win a prize but thank you anyway!”

EMPLOYABILITY EXPERIENCE

“I found it helpful understanding what people in the workplace are looking for and how much you get paid. The challenges were fun and I understood why it is important to work as a team. It was a good day.”

INDEPENDENT LEARNING AND STUDY SKILLS

“Today has been really helpful and the memory part was the most fun. I liked the nails bit and our team won a prize. It has really helped me focus on Year 11 and doing well in my exams.”

MONEY

“I found the information on Government spending shocking and learnt how interest is dangerous if you don’t properly understand it. The best bit was the game at the end where we had to negotiate with the lady and try to get a deal.”

BUSINESS BRAINS

“The business brains day was very interesting and has helped me fill in a few gaps in my GCSE business studies. It was helpful to be able to ask a real entrepreneur about their business and the challenges involved.”

SKILLS 2 SUCCEED

“Today was really fun and I liked the bit when we shook the man’s hand. He was very funny but his jokes were rubbish! Working with different people was also good.”
